Luxury Barn House - Central Oxford/Cotswolds, hotel in Cassington

Luxury Barn House - Central Oxford/Cotswolds, a property with a garden, is located in Cassington, 10 km from Blenheim Palace, 10 km from University of Oxford, as well as 32 km from Notley Abbey.

Location was superb, the property was very cleverly and tastefully set out. There has been a lot of thought given to how best to optimise the space. Lovely touches like fresh eggs and a well-equipped kitchen added to the comfort, and the lovely welcoming message from Roo set the tone. An incredibly relaxing little hideaway, perfect for a decompressing break.

Vanbrugh House Hotel, hotel in Cassington

This elegant boutique hotel is situated in the heart of Oxford, surrounded by the historic college buildings. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout.

Excellent location. Charming hotel a tad noisy from the street below, and we could hear and feel the movement of people in the hall, however the place is old and one should expect that these older houses are not built to today's expected noise elimination standards. Overall can recommend for a few nights stay in Oxford.

    Awful.

Awful. You can’t control your own heating and have to ask….then they don’t respond. I have never come across this anywhere in my life. Church bells ring in the hour all night….it is very near the bedroom and will wake you up every hour Dirty towels and poor responses from the hosts Not luxury in any way I would avoid if you want a relaxing place to stay

If you are wanting to stay in a village close to, but not...

If you are wanting to stay in a village close to, but not actually in Oxford, then consider Cassington. Though small, Cassington has the rural village outlook but is just a few miles away from Oxford. The Park & Ride is 4 miles away; also the train station at Oxford Parkway for day getaways to London by rail. There are two pubs in Cassington - the Red Lion and Chequers. The 20 mph speed limit in the village make it safe for strolling and dog walking. A great base for access to Blenheim Palace and many Oxfordshire walks.

beautiful location. beautiful decor and layout inside. very cosy. the bed could do with changing ideally. quality bed I’d give this stay a 10. with some quality duvet and covers. the quality of the actual bedroom doesn’t match the price of the stay. I stay in hotels and holiday let’s on a weekly basis. so I get my fair share of beds to test. really good shower. everything else was fine.

We wanted to spend the weekend in the Cotswolds and this was a perfect location. The property had all the amenities we required and was very comfortable and it was easy to park. There was a suggestion in the property to visit the Worton Garden Kitchen which we walked to and what a little gem that was. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Cassington and the surrounding area.
