Everything went well. I was working and had reports to write. The room was very comfy and the value for money was fantastic as the grounds were beautiful.

Beyond my wildest dreams. Impeccable room and fabulous hosts. An equestrian’s dream! Very handy for Wellington show centre also. Can’t wait to be back!
Hook strikes us a very pleasant, walkable place. Everything is within a very short walk. Plenty of grocery stores, shops, and restaurants within easy reach. The folks here have a high quality of life.

There are no supermarkets or main store chains i.e. Next M&S, Boots, Superdrug. Parking in main carpark free for first 1.30mins - great. Not a lot of choice re cafés. Need more clothes shops and didn't come across any charity shops?!!!

We choose Hook as I was bought up in the area, it was very handy for surrounding villages. Walking in nearby village of Greywell . The nearby small town of Odiham is well worth a visit. Great dog walking country.

The room I booked was a Single Mansion room.
The room I booked was a Single Mansion room. That in itself suggested it would be large. There was a small photo on booking.com which when you look at it it was not what was expected .in Australia regardless of whether 1 person or 2?is staying there is always a minimum of a double bed. This was a single bed as g TV he room would not accomodate anything larger. Yes a wardrobe was there but it was not useable as you could open the door properly. I would however commend the Hungarian lady at Breakfast on Saturday morning she made me a proper cappuccino. The coffee in the urn was undrinkable overall a very costly 3 days and only worth what a backpackers rate would be

We have already given you our in depth review of the Hook hotel. Please take our review as completely honest and straightforward. We have no reason to say otherwise.
The hotel certainly needs very much some TLC and quickly. Its such a shame as the location was great for us.
We didn't explore Hook as the hotel was just a couple of nights stay and to be with my relatives at this very sad time.
Rooms are very clean and spacious, the food in the restaurant is excellent. The staff were very polite and friendly and the service in the bar and restaurant was first class. I stayed here as I wanted to be close to Farnborough which was only 20 mins away by car. I would definitely recommend this hotel, it’s was rated as 2 star which doesn’t do this place justice. I found my visit relaxing and stress less after a long day at work. I enjoyed it so much I’ve already booked the hotel for my next two trips to farnborough.
A lovely pub in a small village 5 miles from Alton town centre in Hampshire. We wanted a place to stay while we visited my son and his girlfriend. We had my parents with us too, and the six of us had dinner and breakfast at the pub. The rooms were cosy and clean, the food was excellent and the service very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely stay here again. We chatted with the chef, who clearly takes great pride in what he does and the food was outstanding. Highly recommend.
The room was clean and comfortable, lots of hot water and great water pressure, large towels which was great. The food at the pub was great and well priced and the staff super friendly. There are multiple stores including a super market and pharmacy within a 1min walk which was fantastic.
The hotel is also very secure with multiple scan-in access points which was great.
The Basingstoke Country Hotel, is in a great setting and within easy access to Borge Basingstoke and Camberley. The leisure club which is available for a small charge was well equipped clean and with helpful friendly staff. The reception staff were professional and attentive, while the restraint staff provided a lovely service for all the meals we had at the hotel.
Borough Court is a beautiful family home set in the country in Hampshire. Our room was spacious and very comfortable with an ensuite. Our breakfast was delicious and was prepared by our host and served in the stately dining room. The house is set in extensive grounds beautifully maintained.
lovely big rooms, plenty of coffee. tea etc ideal for taking a dog. beautiful grounds lovely for sitting out and having a drink and one of their homemade pizzas. The location is just a short walk to Hook centre and a few walks to choose from direct from the hotel. We would definitely be back
Friendly welcome and upgrade to a double room for more space at same price set the tone of an enjoyable stay. The associated pub was a friendly environment to spend the evening and did excellent evening meals and breakfasts. Will definately look out for Green King hotels again.
A nice welcome on arrival which included a hallowe'en treat and a welcome from the hotel cat! Friendly helpful staff in reception and at breakfast and a relaxed eating environment in the evening. Food was good and plentiful, representing good value for money.
Very comfortable room in the newer part of the hotel. Free off-road parking but had to check car in on a tablet presumably to avoid a ticket. Bed was very comfortable and showers were very good. Good size room. We had dinner in the hotel - basic pub menu.
I had been given a good rooom but they were washing the carpet there and it was soaking so they changed it and it was small.no room no.13 and the hotel was empty but the food they had wS great but booki g needed gor main jeans and tea.
The hotel is beautiful and has huge grounds that were great for walking around in. Spent a lovely couple of days by the pool, and had a lovely massage in the spa. The staff were all excellent, very attentive and helpful.
Good location for our needs. Really large and comfortable bed. Check in nice and easy. Friendly staff in the hotel and in the bar/restaurant. Decent breakfast to set ourselves up for the day.
Amazing beautiful grounds and Manor House we have been lucky enough to stay in the main house and also the extended part of the hotel and both are lovely and very peaceful 💎
Comfortable warm rooms, helpful friendly staff in the hotel and the pub/restaurant and the lamb shank was wonderful. All meals were good value and very nice.
